Maria joined the Pied Piper staff last year, and brought with her many years of experience in childcare, specifically with preschool aged children. Maria has a Masters degree in Education and Special Education and has a particular skill for helping students who are struggling with academic material. She loves when she has been working on a topic with a student and sees the look on their face when the idea clicks and they finally understand the concept. Her favorite part of the day during free play when she is able to seek out opportunities to talk and engage with students and help them develop their communication and conversational language. Her favorite activity to work on with her class is reading.
